The Illinois Resentencing Task Force is seeking public comment on using resentencing motions to reduce the prison population in Illinois. Resentencing motions are a new way to go back to court and argue for a lesser sentence based on rehabilitation, or in the interests of justice.

Further details can be found under the Sept. 29th meeting, located under the meetings tab "special topics" at the top of the home screen.
