SB 2567 — Aggravated Criminal Sex Abuse & Recording
Senate Bill 2567 proposes new definitions for “consent” and “unable to give knowing consent,” and increases the felony class for aggravated criminal sexual abuse, 720 ILCS 5/11-1.60(f), when there is sexual contact with a victim under 18 and the person is 17 years of age or older and holds a position of trust, authority, or supervision in relation to the victims from a Class 2 felony to a Class 1 felony. SB2567 also proposes to amend unauthorized video recording and live video transmission, 720 ILCS 5/26-4, by defining and specifying (a-10) as the recording of “intimate parts” and by increasing the class from a Class A misdemeanor to a Class 4 felony.
