Senate bill 2073 (SB2073) amends the Unified Code of Corrections to make retroactive the parole review provisions for those under 21 at the time of commission of offense. Those currently incarcerated who meet the criteria would be allowed to file a petition for a parole review after serving 10, 20, or 40 years of their sentence depending on the offense.
