SB 1807 – Fleeing and Aggravated Fleeing
Senate bill 1807 (SB1807) amends 625 ILCS 5/11-204 by increasing a first or second conviction for fleeing or attempting to elude a peace officer from a Class A misdemeanor to a Class 4 felony. A third or subsequent conviction for fleeing increases from a Class 4 felony to a Class 3 felony. SB1807 also amends a first-time conviction for aggravated fleeing or attempting to elude a peace officer (625 ILCS 5/11-204.1) from a Class 4 felony to a Class 3 felony. A second or subsequent offense increases from a Class 3 felony to a Class 2 felony.
