House bill 3010 (HB3010) amends 720 ILCS 5/24-1(A)(4) and (A)(10) making a first offense for unlawful use of a weapon when the weapon is in a vehicle or concealed on their person or when the weapon is possessed in public a Class 4 felony rather than a Class A misdemeanor. HB3010 also amends 720 ILCS 5/24-1.6 by increasing a first offense of Aggravated Unlawful use of a Weapon to a Class 3 felony from a Class 4 felony.
